Varina Lich Queen Fanart
This illustration was a gift to a friend as custom art for his favorite Magic The Gathering card. The four icons at the top, the text, and the numbers at the bottom were apart of the game's mechanics.
This illustration was also an exploration of incorporating elements found in the artwork of @Wolfskulljack and @Dominik_Meyers
Varangian Overseer
A self-imposed design exercise. The goal was to make a brutal sci-fi law enforcing robot with Celtic inspiration.
It was also used to practice pushing values in details.
Hematite
The Character Design References website (creators of the Character Design Quarterly magazine) host online monthly character design challenges. This piece was made for the Mineral Avatars Challenge.
This character is a personification of the mineral Hematite. The character's design decisions and story were based entirely on research on the mineral.

A self-imposed character design exercise combining the following ideas: Prophet, Alien, Artic, and Scientist.
